How I Operate

Integrity
I pick truth over comfort. I will hold a real view, and I will drop it when a better one shows up.
Principles
- Speak on the decision: The call that matters gets a view, in the room
- The 50% Rule: Know enough to have an opinion, not enough to be dogmatic
- Most requirements are untested guesses: Treat them that way until the real problem shows up

Growth
I form a view fast, and it is usually not the popular one. I build the relationships first, then let that signature show.
Principles
- The 10% Rule: At least 10% of time follows curiosity, not tickets
- Comb-shaped expertise: Multiple areas of real depth, not just one spike
- Craft as learning: Every project deepens understanding

Courage
I would rather be wrong out loud than right in the hallway.
Principles
- Act, don't hypothesize: Make decisions, learn from outcomes
- Visible dissent: Disagreement belongs in the room, not in the hallway
- Kill your darlings: Destroy what you built if it's wrong

Simplicity
I delete more than I add. If that overshoots, complexity is still the worse miss.
Principles
- The Pruning Rule: Clutter accumulates; constantly refocus on essence
- Teach to learn: If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it deeply
- Essence over embellishment: Strip away until only what matters remains

Serenity
I do not run on urgency. Chronic hurry means someone stopped thinking ahead.
Principles
- Urgency as signal: Chronic urgency means someone stopped thinking ahead
- Relationships over efficiency: Trust compounds; rushing doesn't
- Curiosity time: Follow natural curiosity without pressure to produce
